how do you take your coffee/tea?
my morning coffee is either a pourover that caleb made me, or a strong aeropress coffee with foamy oat milk <3 and i love mint tea with a little fresh ginger.
describe your style in 3 words:
minimal, oversized, timeless
your go-to stay-home outfit?
something comfy but different enough from my loungewear to feel like i’ve started my day. lately that’s been a flowy dress and wool socks, or jeans and my fav grey crewneck. whatever i wear, i spend most of my day under a big knit blanket that reminds me of summer sunsets.
a song/album you have on repeat:
i hear you calling - bill fay (fav song atm), welcome home - hannah cohen (my fav shower album), if i am only my thoughts - loving (if spring was an album; this would be it).
what keeps you grounded?
simple routines, checking in with friends and family, journalling, getting ready, going for (short and distanced) walks in my neighbourhood. just little mindful things that remind me who i am and what i love.
fav meal to make at home?
toast with jam, kale caesar salad w/ roasted sweet potato, pasta salad, udon soup — that’s pretty much my ideal day of food.
what/who inspires you?
georgia o’keeffe, my thai heritage, 60’s workwear, japanese pottery and interior/floral design, mid-century architecture, maria popova, rachel nguyen, rachel saunders, jaimie fitzgerald.
a hobby you do, and one you’ve always wanted to try?
i love cooking, baking, and floral arranging. those 3 have been keeping me entertained (and nourished) lately. i’ve always wanted to try quilting and knitting!
what makes a home?
i feel most at home in quiet, open spaces; surrounded by memories and natural light. home is a place that encourages my hobbies and passions and gives me room to think, create and relax.
1 little moment that brightened your day recently:
a sweet friend surprising me with a gift card for a local juicery :’-)
what are you reading/listening to/watching?
i’m reading spring by ali smith and a book on japanese interior style. listening to townes van zandt on vinyl and a lot of weyes blood. watching a lot of spy/studio ghibli movies with caleb <3
fav vintage item you own?
an enamel pitcher that has made me fall in love with green. my coffee table that a friend found and delivered to me :’-). this sweet dress from thailand. and my unfinished cantilever chair (to name a few).
