how do you take your coffee/tea?
I take my coffee and tea (love both) black
describe your style in 3 words:
your go-to stay-home outfit?
grey sweatpants, white socks, black loafers, huge men’s plaid button down (only 2 buttons done up)
a song/album you have on repeat?
Tirzah’s Gladly- full album, it’s like listening to all your feelings swirling around a hazy summer afternoon
fav meal to make at home?
I don’t know if this counts as a meal or maybe just a snack, but I’m an absolute sucker for almond butter on toast topped with banana and hemp seeds 🤤 I like the toast to be super crunchy, almost (but not quite!!) too toasted
what/who inspires you?
women inspire me so much, I think the way we can lift and support each other is incredibly beautiful. I’m also heavily inspired by architecture and design, there is something striking about looking at a building or object and knowing someone used their brain power to create and execute it so you can see and touch it
what makes a home?
oh I love this question!! I moved so much as a child. I came from a very unstable/abusive home and was involved with social services for as long as I can remember. That translates to being pushed from home to home, check ins with my social worker, a lot of uncertainty and anxiety about where I would go next. So for me home is somewhere I can just breathe and be still. It is comforting and warm, it’s safe. I like having my own space that I can return to and feel like I’m being embraced by
1 little moment that brightened your day recently?
my best friend surprising me with fresh baked cookies left on my doorstep
what are you reading/listening to/watching?
as I mentioned earlier, I’m a massive bookworm. I just finished Severance by Ling Ma, Happiness as Such by Natalia Ginzburg and Tonight I’m Someone Else by Chelsea Hodson. All were brilliant and beautiful. I just started the Complete Stories of Leonora Carrington and it’s dreamy. I don’t watch a lot of tv but I finished Maniac on Netflix and I swear I tell everyone to watch it. It’s only 7 episodes or something and it’s wild. I’ve been listening to Recording Artists by Getty which highlights 6 incredible female artists and asks what it meant (and still means) to be a woman and an artist
fav vintage item you own?
ohhhhh my favourite vintage piece. Do I have to choose one 🥺 I guess it would be a pair of Levi’s 501’s that are a men’s 32. They’re HUGE on me so I belt them a ridiculous amount. I wanted to get them tailored but I genuinely love them so much I’m worried that something would happen to them or the tailor would turn them into something else and I think they have a certain magic as it is now.
